Christy Lee, LPC-MHSP

Christy Lee (she/her/hers) is a licensed psychotherapist located in Nashville, Tennessee. Christy received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vanderbilt University and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri. She specializes in the treatment of trauma, depression, and anxiety, often stemming from family of origin, abuse endured as a child, and unhealthy relationships, including intimate partner violence. As a Korean-American, she is especially passionate about helping fellow Asian Americans navigate intergenerational trauma, racial trauma, and identity issues. She uses a multi-theoretical approach to help individuals safely process their past and current difficult life experiences.

Christy values evidence-based practices and draws upon concrete tools and techniques from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Attachment Theory, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy, and Play Therapy. She believes strongly in the resilience of the human being. Her mission is to empower individuals of all ages to ultimately build and maintain healthy, long-lasting relationships.
